HOW WE STARTED

The club was founded in 1968 by a small group of enthusiasts, on the East Rand, that were concerned about the preservation of classic motorcycles.

Meetings were initially held at member’s homes and as the group grew and eventually premises had to be found, to host the meetings.

These included the Oribi Hotel in Kensington, the Old Johanians Club, Jeppe Quondam Club and the Transvaal Aviation club, before moving to the Simmer Pan bowling club in Germiston and had been there for many years.

Our current home is the Kensington Bowling club.

From small beginnings the club has grown to a membership of around 150.
